Publisher's Summary

The statements before Inspector Morse appeared to confirm the bald simple truth: After leaving home to return to school, teenager Valerie Taylor had completely vanished, and the trail had gone cold - until two years, three months, and two days later, when somebody decided to supply some surprising new evidence.

Audio isnt exact

It didnt follow along at all to the book. It wasnt pleasing and it would skip every other sentence of the book

Sloppy story good reader

I love the voice of Kevin Whateley but this story was a bit of a disaster, it seemed like there was a new hypothesis for the murders about twice each chapter and nearly all hinged on this woman or that having a false identity and the ending was totally unsatisfying.

Very Confusing

This story was terribly confusing! Couldn’t keep the characters straight - too much jumping around and too little context to ground the activity!

Abridged

Did not realize this was an abridged version. Otherwise enjoyed the book. Kevin Whately was excellent.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Another brain -teasing mass of imponderables wrestled - eventually - into shape by the master sleuth and his far-from shabby sidekick. As previously, the reading by Kevin Whately is superb!
