The Complete Idiot's Guide language audio programs are guaranteed to work for beginners, as a refresher course, and even with those who have been frustrated in other attempts to learn a foreign language. You can start learning today.
I have "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Spanish, Level 3" and it includes dialogues, quizzes, etc. I wonder if Adam was talking about a different book entirely -- maybe he was referring to "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Spanish Vocabulary." In any case, this book of Spanish Level 3 is quite useful and uses a number of good dialogues with different verbs.

Save your money folks, this is simply an audio dictionary.
A-Z, first English, and then Spanish. Once.
NO sentence structure. Nada, amigo.
Weird words too. Not the type of helpful stuff us newbies are looking for.
Might be a good refresher for those who already speak the language on some level.

I took two years of Spanish in college many years ago and bought this book as a refresher for an upcoming vacation. I found it worthless. Unless you wish to discuss having a sick friend with your mother and seeing a doctor and things such as that, forget about this book. A total waste of time and money.
