Love it

Good stuff - builds carefully from constituent elements to bigger phrases in a well-paced way. There's a PDF file you can download that shows the Pin Yin and the Mandarin.

too difficult in pure audio

although i am an experienced language learner, i found it extremely difficult to learn chinese with this audio book. it may be possible with a more similar language such as spanish or portuguese etc.
it looks like there was no adaptation to the written version. it's just very hard to remember the complex words and sounds...

This just does not work as well as the Pimsleur books. Too bad only one of the Pimsleur books on Mandarin is avialable from audible.com
