Good foundation in learning the Spanish language

Any additional comments?

I studied Spanish language in College and continued learning it using alternative mobile applications but that was a long time ago and mostly just reading Spanish words and their translations. This audiobook is truly a refresher for a novice like me in Spanish language.

Listening to the stories allow me to enhance my comprehension and help me learn how to pronounce Spanish words the right way. The difficulty level will not stressed you out but rather help you learn the basics of the language while being entertained.

The stories involve words and phrases that can be used in a day to day conversation and the delivery of it is so clear and easy to understand. The pacing of the narrators voices both male and the female one allows me to comprehend the phrases effectively. Furthermore, the narrators enunciate the words fluently and in a conversational way. Grammatical structures were presented in a smart way that lets you grasp it easily and the vocabulary section at the last part was presented in a way that will stay in your memory. The audiobook is a really helpful tool to learn the Spanish language quickly and efficiently. It allows me to be more confident in learning the language. This medium is really an effective tool to brush up your Spanish and to let you have a good foundation of it.

Enjoy while Learning.....

I enjoyed the male speaker as I find the manner of what he says in a slow, sure fashion with the correct enunciation and pronunciation of the words & phrases. It’s as if he is trying to spell out the words as he speak them. Also, he knows when to emphasize points and delivers them well. He is such a good storyteller so that a non-Spanish speaker can somehow get a bit of an idea of what he was talking about and can understand the whole story.

On the other hand, the first female speaker presented herself well as she speaks the language in a way it is done in a natural setting – very conversational, fluent and you can feel the emotions as it is spoken. I love the highs & lows of her voice as she speaks depending on the situation.

The second female speaker with the conventional method of giving out the Spanish words and phrases and subsequently providing their counterpart English words and phrases is the simplest and easiest to do. I like that the conjugation of the verb is also being explained so helps one to understand better the use of the verb tense. However, this method maybe is not as interesting and engaging as the first two stories above.

Overall, I find this a useful and worthy audiobook both for a beginner and someone who has already a grasp of the Spanish language but wants to learn more. Truly, one can enjoy while learning!

Great Way to Learn the Basics!

As a pre-medicine student, Spanish is extremely helpful and useful to have on my resume. It is not required in college, but I possess some knowledge from high school. I desired the ability to brush up on my skills, and refresh my memory of the language, so I sought out an audiobook in order to be able to hear the words being spoken. I came across this audiobook and absolutely loved the presentation and the content. At the beginning of the book, the author provides an introduction and an email, which I found to be very helpful if having trouble accessing the PDF version. It was nice to be able to follow along with the PDF version while also hearing the story. This allowed me to recognize words and spell them correctly.

In regards to the speaker, he was very easy to follow. He spoke clearly and slowly so that the listener could take time to comprehend the story. The content of the book is perfect for beginners; it possesses everyday words that would be useful in common conversation. The story was interesting, yet provided knowledge that the listener could apply later.

Overall, I adored this audiobook; I would definitely recommend it to my friends and peers looking to learn the basics of Spanish.

Great Book for Beginners Looking to Learn Spanish

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it was a smooth read and really helped me grasp Spanish language, conjunctions and much more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?

The many vocab words that I learned and the great short stories told in the book.

What about Lucia Bodas and Abel Franco ’s performance did you like?

I liked the speed at which they read. It was not to fast so I could comprehend what they were saying but not to slow to where I did not want to read it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really it was a great learning experience.

Any additional comments?

This was a really good book to read. I have taken Spanish classes in the past and learned some Spanish but this book really helped me understand the Spanish language. I thought the pace of the book was great, it went slow enough that I could understand what was being said or at least parts that I recognized but did not go to slow so that it did not drag on. I recommend this book to anyone who is trying to start learning Spanish or trying to brush up on their Spanish or French. The definitions that were being explained helped me refresh my vocabulary. This was a great book that allowed me to learn Spanish and French better than I have before.
