So Much Helpful

There's a lot of helpful information on this guide. I'm not ready to comfortably walk the streets of Berlin yet, but it makes a good reference for German language learning.

Its WOW!

I'm afraid that I am not to that level of speaking German yet. It supplys time information such as pluperfect to words. I'm still dealing with the present tense. It is amazing that they can compact this subject into the single book. Great!

Excellent Addition

Excellent addition to the two years of German I took in College. A variety of topics are covered that touch on a wide range of vocabulary and practical expressions useful in a broad spectrum of situations.

Practical Book

it is practical for anyone who wants to have a complete reference of German, though you have to get used to with challenges sometimes and even boredom. That is, generally, one of the best way to learn a foreign language. No bore no gain.

I Suggest It

I would also suggest All-Audio German (listen to it as much as you can, to perfect your pronunciation, you'll be glad you did). I also bought the English-German dictionary...for my Palm - this is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you are going to be going to Germany and you are serious about getting more fluent.

Awesome Way To Learn German

There are many dialogues on practical subjects, performed by native speakers of course, and read very fast for the most part, so it should be great for comprehension at conversational speed. However, it would be helpful to have it done once at a slower speed so as to be sure of correct pronunciation.

Good Source

If you are learning German this is not bad and reasonably useful. I have used a lot of different learn German programs and they all have their good points. This one is as good as any.

information is well organised

Great summary resource, and useful for reference and studying. My German teacher found a few errors on it, but it is mostly accurate.

Great summary of grammar and rules.

My husband and I are not young pups and we want to learn German. Not so easy for someone with no background. The Quick Grammar guide is a handy fast reference and I'd recommend it.

Useful learning tool

This has a wealth of information on it and at first I had some problems with understanding it. However, it gets more helpful the further I get in my studies of the language. It's a good quick reference guide.

Love this Audible book

I listen and practice with it going to work in the morning. I have a 45 minute commute so it allows me to go through a few chapters. I've completely finished it and I'll be repeating some of these chapters. But the method of learning is very effective.

build vocabulary

I have tried several ways to learn German. While other apps and books build vocabulary or teach sentence structures, none is like what this audio book achieved - it allows me to start speaking German in sentences within a couple of hours. I think it is a great book when used in combination with other methods.

I'm really enjoying this book

I've been listening to this in the car, as I go about my daily life. The first time I listened to it, it was doable but I didn't think I was going to remember much. However the second time I listened to it, it was much easier and all his lessons have sunk in. I'm really enjoying this book and like the idiosyncratic way he teaches.

Easy introduction

There is no single course that will "do it all". You will need to expose yourself to a whole lot of different material. I'm still chopping away, learning vocabulary, reading books and listening to Amazon Audible - but I've come a long way.The Author takes the opposite approach: He explicitly explains everything. He is very methodical.

Excellent introduction for beginners

The author explains the connections between English and German, and how much the two languages share. He shows connections which I have not seen before, but which now seem so obvious. He gives useful rules for constructing sentences.

it has some useful information.

I wanted something I could learn from while driving long commutes but without the book it is difficult to catch some of the pronunciations on the CD. Used while NOT driving and in conjunction with the book, it has some useful information.
