Not a stand alone audio book

Contrary to the description, there are no summaries, voc lists etc in the audio. This seems to be more of a companion to the written book, which is not what I was looking for. Only heard the first story, but it seems appropriate for beginners and the narrator was good. But I will be returning this one

Clear and helpful for learning.

While the point of the stories is ostensibly to get better at French, they are still somewhat interesting, although usually fairly predictable. The narrator is pleasant enough to listen to and speaks in a clear, natural voice. At three hours for eight stories, the length is about right to listen to one, maybe two, stories per sitting. Overall, very useful.

Monotone male speaker for female and male roles

For the Audible portion of this book, using a monotone male reading both female and male speaking parts is terrible. This makes it very difficult to understand the flow of the conversation.
For the book itself, the authors claim this level of French is good for beginners from level A1 to level B1. As a French beginner, I strongly disagree. These conversations are closer to the B2 level. One cannot be at level A1 without looking up every individual word in these stories.
