Fantastic way to learn Spanish!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I've been looking for a way to practice my Spanish, and reading the written word just hasn't been working. Audiobooks seem to be the answer, especially ones that let me practice conversationally as I drive.

The material here is wide-ranging and useful, and the narrator speaks clearly and pleasantly. I'm very satisfied with this book.

Fast Pace Learning

This book could be very valuable for someone that has some experience with the Spanish language, however, if was very fast pace for me to follow, especially having little to no experience speaking the language (hence getting the book). I almost wish it gave the English sentence first, so I knew what I was going to be listening for once the Spanish came on, but it was the opposite, which kind of left me a little lost. Also, in my opinion the sentences were very long, which made it hard for me to maintain what they were saying in order to follow and for me to try to repeat what it is that she is saying. I did print the PDF of the sentences, which did help me some, but it was spoken so fast, that I could not repeat what she was saying when she said it to know if I was saying it correctly.

Spanish in 32 Topics

I just thought this book was fun to listen to. Great way to keep the ear sharp and skills up, or could be a great refresher. It's well done and each segment is also stated in English. The pdf that comes with it would also assist anyone struggling. Though I think one would have to have at least some basic Spanish to really get into it easily.

Made for Advanced Beginner

This was a great option for people looking to listen to Spanish and learn on the go. The vocab and words used were however, better suited for an advanced beginner to intermediary speaker. The variance of vocab was great and the sentences used needed. There is a pdf book that comes with it, but I did not receive it.
When you are listening, the Spanish sentence will come first, followed by the English translation, then the vocab. If you dont have any knowledge of Spanish, this could get confusing.

Very worthwhile learning tool

I found this to be a challenging but valuable learning tool. While this is labeled "Beginner" it is more for a person who is beginning to actively converse in Spanish. This was just a bit past my level but it is very convenient to review over the lessons and the Text guide that also comes with the program.

It was a great exercise to advance my language skills as a result of this program. As a result of this program my conversation skills and confidence to have a conversation in Spanish has greatly increased. I appreciate the time and talent both the writer and narrator have invested in this program.

Complex & not really for beginners

Try as much as I could, I found this quite complex and not really helpful to actual beginners

Maybe a little more advanced than I expected

Overall, I liked the audiobook. The narrator’s voice was easy to listen to. I did notice that the recording seemed to have some “pops & clicks” in it that made it a little distracting at times.

I’m just beginning to try and learn Spanish and it seems to me like this book might be better suited for someone that already knew “some” Spanish? Like one of the other reviewers, I personally found it a little difficult to follow along with, but the PDF that is available with the download did help. A second listen would probably help and that’s what I intend to do. As I continue to learn Spanish, I think this book will be very helpful.

A little disappointed

I hate to give this book a bad review but the way it was written made it hard to follow. The book needs to be laid out differently. It has the Spanish sentence (very long sentences) then the English then the vocabulary list. By the time you hear the words they are trying to teach you you have forgotten what you heard. I listen to the first two chapters twice and the second time around was a little better since I knew what I was listening for. I think it could be helpful.

Not for a true beginner

I was confused sometimes I am almost finished with first year Spanish I think I will understand better when I am done with year 2. A good tool to help you progress once you have a solid foundation. I love that it comes with a PDF I can download. I learn better if I can see and hear. I was given a free copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
