From the cockpit of a Boeing 737 to the sun-kissed shores of Kiribati, Lady MacGyver is a remarkable memoir of grit, courage, and sky-high ambition.

Michelle Huntington's dream of flight took root at the age of seven—and, against all odds, she became one of just 500 female airline captains worldwide. Over two decades, she’s flown solo across vast oceans, landed on rugged outback strips, and even survived a lightning strike mid-flight.

Michelle’s journey through the aviation world is anything but conventional. She navigates a turbulent path, sidestepping naysayers and confronting systemic barriers. Through it all, she proves that with MacGyver-style ingenuity—and maybe a touch of insanity—no challenge is insurmountable.

Told with sharp wit and unflinching candour, Lady MacGyver is packed with exhilarating adventures and powerful insights into resilience and resourcefulness. Today, Michelle channels her experiences beyond the cockpit, speaking globally on neuroplasticity and mindset transformation, helping others face adversity and embrace change with clarity and conviction.

More than a memoir, Lady MacGyver is an inspiring tale of rising above limitations, and when the going gets tough, finding the strength to soar.

Overall; all 5s!

However the story line seems to shift without warning, sorta like windshear. Gives me some storyline whiplash….but not nuf to require diversion. Eg shortly after twins, she has breast cancer and despite the families objections she.got her way.

Seems odd that newborns would have a say. Maybe there was a scope shift I missed and antecedents did not refer to twins or that time had passed.

Maybe I missed those some cues as I listened while violating “sterile cockpit” rules.

Several times I found myself laughing so uproariously that I had to stop the “tape” eg not allowing a CEO to claim 6 SOBs when there were 3 humans and 3 canines. He said “They’re like family!” She said “But if the rescue team finds only 3 bodies they’ll assume the dogs at the other 3 and they’ll be put down—not fair to the dogs!” [from memory, not a transcription from book.]

INSIGHTFUL: her battles are raw, real and require culture improvements. I’d like every pilot to have a panic button like Zoey Bartlett had. Press it and the cavalry comes loaded with reinforcements standing by.

Thank you for sharing so openly!

Concise, tight, fascinating, hilarious, inaightful…with maybe touch of ADHD!
