Eye Opener!
I love how Robert Thornhill is able to write humor and current issues into one. The series of Lady Justice is appropriately titled. The relationship of Walt, Maggie, Ox, Judy, Willie is so special. Like the story said, sometimes life just doesn't make sense. The issue of Black Market Organ Trading is real and scary, but it makes one ponder to what means they would go. George Kuch continues to perform all of the characters with distinguishable voices. This team of author and narrator is so good. Kansas City is the setting of this series, and the imagery is very fitting. I love how each book is a standalone listen, yet has tidbits from previous books included. The inclusion of "Dead Man Walking" in regards to people on the organ donation list added humor to a grim subject. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily wrote this review. I will continue to listen to more books by this talented author and narrator. Choices are based on circumstances in our life.

Loved it
I have really enjoyed this series, love the dry humor of Walt and all his friends who help keep him out of trouble. The author knows how to keep you entertained, with danger, thrills and humor. I love the authors twisted plots that always keeps me guessing.
The narrator does an outstanding job bring the characters to life, giving them true emotion that makes you laugh out loud. He male and female voices are right on the money, you always know who is talking and what they are feeling. There are no background noise, no repeating of words and no volume changes. He has really bought this series to life for me. He has a voice I could and have listened to almost all day.
It always amazes me how the author comes up with more things for Walt to get into, it is never a dole moment hanging out with these characters. I am always left with a smile on my face and can't wait to start the next one. The author and the narrator really blend well together giving you a story that really keeps you on your toes. It has been really a thrilling, exciting and fun ride.

Unbelievable
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
On one hand, I'm happy that this book raises the issue of the need for more organ donations. On the other hand, the book acts as if selling your organs is the only option that can solve this problem. Why does it not mention changing the law so that you have to opt out of donation after death, or campaigning to raise the awareness of organ donation? But instead, it justifies selling organs on the black market, which doesn't provide the necessary help afterwards. This makes me feel like the whole book is a little impossible because it doesn't take into account the before and after of the procedures.
I'm also getting quite annoyed with the throwbacks to previous books that take up paragraphs in the middle of chapters. It can be quite distracting.
However, the narration issue of the previous couple of books has been fixed.

Black market organs... just another illegal activity that has found its way to Kansas City. Never fear Walt and Ox are on the case.

Another great read from Robert Thornhill
Lady Justice and The Organ Traders is my sixteenth enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners, as always dealing with current social topics. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! Justice or fate
Another great story that gets you questioning everything you believe by giving you two perspectives on the subject. For such a serious subject that can tug on your heart string Robert Thornhill has a wonderful way of keeping it light hearted but still hard hitting at the same time. Excellent book and a wonderful series.
Maggie's long lost brother has come out of witnesses protection because he is dying and wants to spend his last days with his sister. At the same time Walt and Ox are trying to investigate an organ trafficking ring but going under cover isn't an option because the bad guys can just checks a data base and there cover is blown. If only they knew someone on the donor list. Maggie's brother jumps at the chance to impress his baby sister and with his MacGyver skills he proves to be a very valuable tool. Unfortunately coming out of hiding has also brought the man he is hiding from, out to.
George Kuch is once again an excellent choice and is the perfect voice for rookie cop Walt Williams and friends.

Right or wrong? Good or evil?
Through the perception of Walt Williams, the real estate broker turned elderly cop, author Robert Thornhill again confronts his readers with both sides of a topical issue, asking if anything is good or bad? What could be a difficult topic to explore, that of receiving money in exchange for an human organ that could save a life, is made easy in the company of Walt and his numerous tennants and friends. Poor Walt again goes undercover, briefly, and whilst one acquaintance dies, another lives, and good old Maggie gets to swing her bat once more.
Not only questioning and informative, this whole series, including Lady Justice and the Organ Traders, sparkles with warm and real characters involved in stories both comedic and sad and always entertaining. The excellent George Kuch again becomes Walt Williams as he narrates his story.
Thought provoking and fun, this is another must read book from Mr.Thornhill.
