Lady Justice!

Robert Thornhill continues to amaze me with how well he brings current issues to light while providing a humorous listen with endearing characters and some very thought provoking insight. Medical Marijuana versus Big Pharma and mind altering drugs are the topics in this book. I so enjoy how Walt is evolving from his retired Realtor and Police Officer careers, into the private investigation sector. Lady Justice and the Devil's Breath is nonstop with its fantastic imagery. The characters in this book are multi-dimensional, and I enjoy the glimpses into their lives. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. George Kuch performs the book brilliantly. One can hear exactly who is speaking. He has the perfect voice inflections for this series. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Thought-provoking!

I really contemplated the pros and cons on medical marijuana. Arguments for both sides legitimate. I was much more open-minded this time.

Walt and the gang lead us on a trail of mayhem and murder again!

George Kuch IS Walt Williams!

Great read, good series

Lady Justice and the Devil’s Breath is my thirty-first enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners. Throughout the book I found myself smiling a lot & at times laughing out loud. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and the Mysterious Box. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Lady Justice and the Devil's Breath. Book 31

Walt Williams Investigations finds themselves going up against Columbian drug Lord who bring a drug called Devil's Breath. This new drug allows the one administering it to force people to do their bidding with no memory of what they've done.

George Kuch is in my top 5 favorite narrators. He always does amazing work.

Lots of suspense & lots of laughs!

This series continues to be my favorite because of its ability to combine mystery, suspense, current events & humor all into one. In this book there are two criminals drugging people in Kansas City & robbing them. Walt & the crew must hunt them down to stop their crime spree which gets more and more intense with each crime. On top of that one of the intended victims ends up being an activist who is working to legalize marijuana, so there is a second plot running about that topic. I love how Robert Thornhill can so gracefully cover both sides of the issue and give each viewpoint a voice while still keeping the story suspenseful and full of twists & turns. I love this series so much & George Kuch is the perfect narrator, and the perfect Walt!

The good guys win!

assassins, seniors, illegal-trafficking, private-investigators, law-enforcement, humor, greed, family, friendship

The good guys win again! (even if they did need to ask for help from a bad guy)
It opens with greed, progresses through felonies, adds in assassination, and still has a full quota of humor. The social ills are things done out of greed and the continuing obstruction of the general population by big pharmaceutical companies. Well, that's out of greed, too.
I hate to do the whole recap and spoilers thing, but I will tell everybody that it's a great series and yet each book is self contained enough that it doesn't matter if you have read any of the others. But I suspect that you'll want to!
George Kuch continues to be excellent as narrator, and if his style is slow for you, remember the speed icon on your app.

Lady Justice vs. the Devil('s breath)

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. This book was full of twists and turns and lots of witty one-liners and references only baby boomers (or someone that likes oldies) would appreciate. Walt and his gang take on Colombian drug lords and big pharma. Who will reign supreme? Lady Justice or the devil (aka Colombian drug lords and big pharma)? Get the book and find out!

Highly Addicting !

"Each time I start a new Robert Thornhill story, I don't think it can get better, but it does. Another hit, in this edition Jerry get slipped a Mickey .. A bad drug called Devil’s Breath (scopolamine)which is very bad , it makes they person basically hypnotized and under the mind control , but not able to remember what you have done , and it's practically untraceable.! Tis is bad news for Walt and the gage but even worse for the drug pushers when Walt and and company figure it out and lock them up!! My favorite characters are back. This is a series that once I start the book, I don't want to put it down until I'm finished. Looking forward to the next one."

Walt takes on drugs

Once again, Walt finds himself having to put himself in debt to the head of the Italian Maffia. This time the crime hits close to home when Walt’s friend is being charged with armed robbery. Jerry the joker has no memory of committing this crime. As Walt begins to investigate and gets kick butt attorney Suzanne Romero involved to help his friend he learns about a drug called Devil’s Breath. This drug is bad, really bad. The victim of this drug is highly susceptible to mind control and finds themselves committing crimes with no knowledge as with Jerry. The DA is not willing to accept that Jerry was drugged as the drug was long gone from his system once Walt realized he was drugged. Mary Murphy gets drugged to and is hopping mad and ready to beat the culprits with her bat if she can just find them. Walt and the gang solve the crime and once again everything is good in Kansas City. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
