Very well written, actually has a plot along the atmosphere.

Review for book 4 Lady Anne

I do not feel that this story is as strong as. The other 3.
Tony was not brought in until the last 1.5 chapters. The other 3 were stronger with the balance of their 2 personalities.
I long to hear more about the secretary, finding his sister, and resolving some of the internal conflicts that he has.
I am disappointed that we did not hear about Tony and Anne’s wedding. At least we know that it is forthcoming…
Will Tony install Lord John and Lydia at the estate near her parents?
Will Tony’s twin marry and receive the new estate near Toni and Anne?
There were many cliff hangers to be resolved and as long as Anne and Tony are around , there will be mystery’s to resolve….so I will eagerly await a new book in this series But I will check to make sure both Tony and Anne are involved.

VERY Entertaining

I loved how the author had a topic that is still being dealt with today be part of a story that was set many years ago. There were a few twists I did NOT see coming that is for sure.

Very Disappointed

I enjoyed the other books by this author but I missed the Marquis. You only hear from him at the very end. Plot is weak and I figured out most of what was going on and who was responsible within several chapters. I have read other books about Victorian homosexuality and the clubs men attended at great personal risk but I just didn't expect it in this book. It truly seemed author was trying too hard to show her support. It just didn't fit. I listened to the audio version and it took me a whole week to finish because I kept falling asleep then I would have to listen all over again.

A little disappointed but still extremely good

I must admit to being a little disappointed as this was very much a Lady Anne mystery and whilst is was extremely good, I did find it sad that her fiancé only popped up in the last chapter. A large part of what makes this series great is the chemistry between the two throughout the books and whilst this was still a very good plot and mystery, I felt it lacked for not having him as part of it.
