Delightful Duet

A duet of novellas in the Ladies and Scoundrels series.  Scandalous Wallflower is Jane and Caleb's story. Too drunk to see his mistake, Caleb enters Jane’s bedchamber, strips, and falls asleep.  They are caught by her brother and sister-in-law, and the next thing they know, they are married.  How will work?   Scandalous Liaison is about Grace Stratton and Lewis Duffield. Years ago, they were in love and kept apart by her duty to her family.  Grace married the Duke of Abernathy and is now a widow. Lewis, an American businessman, returned to America.  They meet again for the christening of his great-niece who is the daughter of Grace’s friend.  They are to be the child’s godparents.  Will this be a second chance for love for them?  These lovely stories have well-written plots and interesting characters.  Narration by Anne Marie Dammon is well-done and entertaining.

Love for all time

These two novella’s were well narrated by Anne Marie and written by Amanda. They kept me wanting to know what would happen. Love wins .

Volume 2 contains two short stories. I found them more romantic than many short stories. They were entertaining and enjoyable, as well as a fast read. The narration was good.

This is a great set. All the stories are interesting and exciting. The characters are entertaining an enjoyable. The narration was good.

books 4 & 5

The story continues between these scandalous series/encounters. I( guess birds o the same feather flock together... these ladies have scandalous past). Enjoyed the love stories of the remaining characters, that shed light why and how they are. The last story of the Duchess was touching/heart-breaking but all ended with a happy ending. Enjoyed Ms Amanda Mariel's stories (note these have steamy scenes). Will always be looking forward to her stories.

What did I like? Each story has a good pace, characters are engaging and is well written.

○ Scandalous Liaison: twenty years on, Grace gets a second chance at the love she lost, but can the past be put behind them to start again? [mature couple - story tugs at the heartstrings]

Narrator comment: I enjoyed Anne Marie Damman's narration, she's done a great job bringing these three stories to life, each character is clear and I enjoyed the audio experience.

Ladies and Scoundrels Duo!

This set contains two historical stories that are novella quick reads. They are both stories in the "Ladies and Scoundrels" series and can be enjoyed as a stand alone one. There are connected characters from the previous stories in the series. I enjoyed both of them. Good plots with likable characters. The narrator of this story did a good job bringing the characters and story to life.

Scandalous Wallflower - What happens when you fall into bed with the wrong person? This is a fun story about Caleb and Jane. The two are humorous and witty in this story. He compromises her and doing the right thing proposes marriage but she doesn't want a forced marriage. The story has some drama, angst, passion and finally love.

Scandalous Liaison - I enjoyed this second chance story! I liked that the story was about an older couple. Grace and Lewis finally get their chance at love. Wonderful story! I enjoyed it from beginning until the very wonderful ending!
