A hidden gem

I honestly didn’t expect much and can’t even remember what it was that inspired me to add this to my library but what a pleasant surprise that I had. The author is fantastic and engaging and the reader really brings that extra depth and charm to tie this book together.

Compelling

This book was amazing. I finished it in a couple of days. I found the information to be so thorough and interesting. I actually looked up the author to see if he wrote anything else and it turns out he is a Lawyer and this is his only book. Definitely a must read for anyone who lives in the tristate area. I think it's amazing what this facility got away with but it is typical of government organizations.

Yikes!

This book made far too much sense. i simply could not put it down and wanted to cry because everything started to come together.

I remember fishing off a jetty in Rhode Island with my dad looking out at the water and asking what those pretty lights were on the island in front of us. "That's Plum Island. You don't want to go over there." was all he shared before redirecting my attention to other sights like Block Island and ships offshore.

Years later, I began to hear of the horrors that occurred on this little tiny postage stamp of land. Having lived not too far from this place it struck close to home, especially given my father nearly died from lyme disease in the mid-1980s, I became extremely ill with it shortly thereafter, and over the years my brother and I both suffered from various strange illnesses that stumped doctors on multiple occasions including at least one CDC lab.

What escaped? What other "research facilities" are being run by similar Three Stooges type leadership teams?
