Una vez más, la autora mezcla con pericia el realismo más crudo con el delirio surreal, convocando certeros aromas del tremendismo de Cela, el realismo mágico de Cunqueiro y el esperpento de Valle-Inclán. El resultado es una novela fascinante: una reflexión sobre la memoria en la que intervienen secretos y celos, la culpa colectiva y el deseo femenino; un desafío al lector, escrito con una destreza técnica y una prosa excepcional, capaz de crear un juego hipnótico que no concluye hasta la última página.
