Años atrás su padre había perdido a su esposa; y creyó que Ella necesitaría una madre amorosa. él se casó con una mujer que dos hijas tenía; pero murió y su madrastra reveló lo que escondía. La madrastra resultó egoísta, vanidosa y cruel; solamente con sus hijas ella era preocupada y fiel. Llamada Cenicienta en la sirvienta se convirtió; Volver a ser feliz como antes fue lo que pidió. Un día un mensajero entregó una carta importante. En un baile cualquier dama podía estar presente. El baile era organizado por el príncipe del reino; quien necesitaba pedir a una dama su mano. Las hermanastras muy emocionadas estaban; para conocer al príncipe con afán se preparaban. Le exigían a Cenicienta hacer esto y aquello; remendar sus vestidos y peinarles el cabello. Cenicienta se moría de ganas de también asistir; pero no sabía dónde un vestido podría conseguir. "Te dejamos todo en desorden para que lo limpies, un lindo vestido es imposible que encuentres." Cenicienta lloró una vez que ellas se marcharon; Sin vestido no iría al baile y sola la dejaron. De repente una luz brilló enfrente de sus ojos; su hada madrina escuchó atentamente sus llantos. "No llores Cenicienta. Estoy aquí para ayudarte; este maravilloso baile no habrás de perderte".
