Love Deceit and The Fall of Empire takes place in a dystopian future created by the vision of the Project 2025 plan. The United States is ravaged by storms and coastal flooding caused by ignoring climate change. Most West Coast states and New England States have succeeded, and what is left is a rump section which includes the bible belt and some of the central states. The story takes place in Tallahassee, a city trying to hold back constant hurricanes and the steady encroachment of the Gulf Waters.

The segregated, extremist Religious Nationalist oligarchy is slowly eroding from within due to isolation and rampant corruption. In this segregated society, an impoverished masses are controlled by a Christian Nationalist elite. A young Latino falls in love with a white Evangelical girl. They are drawn into the simmering conflict between the rich and the poor. Revolts are suppressed, and government corruption is exposed, including a terrible genocidal plan.

The impending coastal flooding, the sacrifice of some people, and the love between two young people cause a final conflict that brings the rich and the poor together to create hope for a better world.
