Publisher's Summary

LLCs explained in depth in an easy-to-understand format, so you can get started on your business today!

Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) have increased in popularity over the last few decades. Entrepreneurs across the world learn about the numerous liability and tax advantages of LLCs, and are quick to start the paperwork to form their own entity and get their business off the ground.

LLCs are a relatively new type of business structure - dating back to only 40 years ago in Wyoming. Since then, states have adopted and dealt with LLCs as they see fit. Our goal in this audiobook is to provide the broad strokes of the LLC that are true in every state, while also bringing to your attention and directing you to the proper resources for the state-by-state differences.

While LLCs are often cited for their numerous advantages and benefits for new business owners, there are potential disadvantages depending on your specific situation. Don't worry - all of this will be covered in the book as well.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying reference material will be available in your My Library section along with the audio.

Nice quick introduction in non-lawyer speak

Exactly what I was looking for! This book explains in clear language what an LLC is, the history behind it, as well as both the advantages and disadvantages. What I really appreciated were useful real life scenarios included in the book, and comparisons to other business types, which gave a clearer picture of how to go about deciding whether an LLC is an appropriate choice. The narration is nice clear and easy to listen to. I recommend this book for someone wanting an introduction to what an LLC is and what is it most useful (and not useful) for.

I received this audiobook free of charge in exchange for a fair, honest, and unbiased review.

Tremendous value for your time and money

This is intro level of course, but for that, I'm well satisfied. A mix of simple examples with crucial terminology keeps it moving. This is effective to flag some of the prominent factors and complexities faced when deciding what organization to use, and it has some practical tips about getting further help. Plenty of short budget-priced introductory level audiobooks I buy here end up disappointing me, but not this one.

Not much info on single member LLCs

The book does a good job at giving an overview of LLCs. However, I wish it was a bit more detailed for single member LLCs.

Could be more detailed

I felt no connection with the book. As is reading something without understanding its meaning. Now I don't want to immediately say the book is bad, I as the reader just simply don't have an I depth knowledge on these terms used.

Straight raw facts

This book will not entertain, it is facts delivered quickly with a few examples. The book itself is not very long and that is a good thing because it throws a lot at you quickly and you may need to go back and listen to chapters multiple times. That said, the information given does paint a clear picture of what to consider when creating an LLC.
