Publisher's Summary

After my brother was killed in a motorcycle race, I made it my life’s goal to end illegal street racing. Yeah, I grew up building and riding with him and his sexy best friend, Roni, but I couldn’t bear to watch these kids endanger their lives the same way my brother had.

However, when Roni returned to London to take on The Palace, I forgot all about my mission and focused on her while trying to forget the one night we shared years earlier. Hell, who was I kidding. That one night rocked my world...multiple times. There’s no way in hell I’d forget that night.

Now, if I could convince her to not race on the same track where Edwin died, I might have a chance to claim her as my own.

Romance with plenty of action

I loved this friends to lovers story. I really enjoyed it from the male point of view. Zac and Roni have a history. They grew up together, him being older. He always had an attraction towards Roni. She was best friends with his brother Zac. But they both lost Zac in a terrible way years before. Now Roni is back in town and set to do the race that could make her fate the same as Zac's brother. Zac can't allow that. While they both struggle with true feelings and heartbreak from the past, they come to realize that what they both have been needing and searching for might be each other. This story pulled me in right away. It's a short read/listen but there is so much to this story. I was on the edge of my seat. I really wasn't sure what the outcome would be for these characters. It was fun to see an appearance from characters in book 1 of the series too. This narrator was the perfect voice for Zac. I love romance books from the male point of view and this one will go on my favorite's list.

second chance

I empathized with both main characters in the story, and how they each dealt with the loss of a loved one. I was glad to see they could put aside their grief for love. Emotions galore! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review . The narrator did a great job.

Second Chance and Survivor's Guilt

L8R London is the second novella in the FYI series and can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book though it has some characters from other Elaine Marie novellas in this series in it. Narrated by Conner Goff in a male PoV storyline. Several years before this book starts, Zac, his younger brother Edwin and Edwin's best friend Roni spent a lot of their spare time and money on their motorcycles. At a dangerous motorcycle race in London called The Palace, Edwin lost control of his bike and died with Zac and Roni as witnesses. Roni is a badass woman but she and Zac had a night together of comfort and passion. Roni left the morning after, dealing with her grief by running and racing for Edwin. Zac dealt with his grief by trying to put a stop to illegal motorcycle races to prevent other needless deaths (like he blames himself for with Edwin). Zac hasn't been on his motorcycle since. They both have strong opinions about their own guilt, how they cope with it and what that night together meant, leading to a lot of angst between them. Their push/pull relationship comes to a head when Roni comes back to London to run and finish The Palace in Edwin's honor. Can Zac stop her so she doesn't take a chance with her life too? Can he convince Roni they are meant to be together? Find out in this novella.

Short and sweet.

Zac and his brother Edwin grew up next door to Roni and they shared a love of motorcycle racing. When Edwin passes away during a race both Zac and Roni are devastated, and they choose to handle their grief in different ways. Roni is now back in town and the chemistry between them is stronger than ever but will Roni’s need to honor Edwin’s memory destroy the future they could have together? This was a short and hot story and easy listen...🎧AudiobookObsession

Quick listen, Sweet romance

The narration is good; I liked the bit of gruffness to his voice. This story is all in the male POV; which was fine for a quick story like this, but I would’ve like it a bit better to have Roni’s POV to connect more with her. I didn’t care for her bad girl routine, but I think Zac and Her are good for each other. They have a sweet connection with some steam. Both are dealing with the death of Zac’s brother, who was also Roni’s best friend; the backstory is nice. Overall, a quick, entertaining story. AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Great Story!

Elaine is a great spinner of stories! This one is of the girl next door. The neighbor was a hawt cop and after he pulled her over, he gets what he wants. Conner does a fantastic job narrating it! Great voice!

Emotional second chance romance

The author has an amazing talent of writing such emotional, impactful romances that tell a fulfilling story all wrapped up neat within a novella sized box. In "L8R London", we have a second chance couple dealing with loss, love and finding their way into each other’s hearts. A fun element to this series is that it overlaps characters and I’m falling in love with the FYI cast. I can’t wait to see what’s next, or who’s next in the group to find love. The narration was great… but I was expecting it to have included a British accent to correlate with the title, as book one had.

Full of emotion

There is so much emotion for a short story. Narration was done wonderfully with a range of characters voices, adding to the story and helping you feel the emotion when listening. As book 2 in the series, it can be enjoyed as a stand alone, however I felt it was a better storyline than book 1. A lovely and enjoyable listen

Standalone story

You would not have to read the first book to enjoy this one. The characters from the first book only appear briefly/superficially. The average audiobook feels a little slow to me, but, like the first in the series, the pace of this narration was a very nice quick pace. I couldn't tell which characters were speaking by voice alone, but then again there weren't any annoying voices either. I liked the story in L8R London much better than TTYL Paris. The story was centered around one main point of conflict which fits much better with the novella length. I also liked that the main characters already knew each other, which I feel fits better with the shorter format. I would recommend this audiobook to listeners who like a quick-paced HFN. #AudiobookObsession

Motorcycles & Love

This sequel was better than the first book! Zack grew up riding motorcycles with his brother Edwin and his best friend, Roni. Years ago, his brother died in a motorcycle accident, he swore off riding ever again, and wanted to do everything he could to keep it from happening to someone else. Roni shows up in London, back in Zack’s life, and it turns out she’s entering The Palace, the same race that Edwin died in. He’s determined to make her his and keep her safe, but will he succeed? I really enjoyed Zack’s personality and the cameos of some characters from the previous book. Roni has the badass persona, but I wish that she would have been more developed within this story. Conner did a really good job with this narration! I felt like he portrayed Zack’s emotions perfectly and brought life to each character and the story itself. @AudiobookObsession *I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Another sweet and steamy short story. It wasn't quite as good as the first book but I still enjoyed it. Looking forward to book 3! Connor did a good job narrating. He's got a nice, soothing, sexy voice. #audiobookobsessionreviewer

Short but so good

This story is a bit sad, a lot reminiscent, a second chance, fast paced love story. I personally wish it would have lasted longer. Conner Goff has one of those voices you can listen to and not tire of hearing.

Living Your Dreams!!!

L8R London: FYI < 3 Series, Written by Elaine Marie and Narrated by Connor Goff was emotional, but rewarding short story. Elaine Marie did a wonderful job with this one. I found it to tug at my heart alittle. There was lost. There were dreams. There was hope. There was love, and there were lives to share together. All of those things will shine through as you listen. Again, very well written, I could really appreciate the storyline. This was my 1st time listening to Connor Goff narrate, but he did a wonderful job with the characters. I definitely would recommend this book to others. #AudiobookObsessionReviewGroup🎧

I’m loving this series of novellas

You can totally listen to this audiobook by itself but I love that it brings in characters from the first novella. It’s written as as a stand-alone story and it complete too! Who doesn’t love a second chance romance and Zac and Robin need each other to heal from the loss of Edwin. Toni is a kickass girl who races a motorbike, what woman wouldn’t give kudos to such a character. Again the narration was amazing for the audiobook. Can’t wait for the next book!
