Publisher's summary

Each book in this series is a complete story unto itself. There are no cliff-hangers. You can listen to them out of sequence. Enjoy!

TEAM Agent Ky Winchester survived a brutal encounter with a Taliban madman, but only because of a woman with green eyes, an angel he thought he’d dreamed in the depths of his torment. She came to him in that far-off torture chamber, cloaked in the tender magic of hope. Because of her, he lasted long enough to survive his nightmare. It’s too bad he never thought to ask her name. Too bad he’ll spend the rest of his days searching for her. Whoever she is...

FBI Agent Eden Stark is the bureau’s number one and very top-secret psychic asset. While running from a different kind of madman, this one intent on mechanizing America’s military and turning them into controllable drones, Eden’s plane goes down in the frigid Canadian north. It’s very probable she won’t survive the night.

Two meched-up FBI agents are already tracking her. Maybe wolves. Maybe someone else.

Emotional!

I love Irish Winters’ powerful & distinct writing style. She draws you into her stories and makes you feel as though you are living with her characters. Each of the books in this series is a standalone, however, you learn more about her characters if you read them all. Her stories are emotional, exciting, action packed and satisfying in so many ways and Ky is no exception. Ky draws you in right from the get go and doesn’t release you until the last word. This book involves some psychic phenomenon, which makes it intriguing and there are some edge of your seat moments to boot! Eden is as sweet as they come and she is so perfect for Ky as he definitely needs a sensitive partner after what he has endured. As usual, Troy Duran does a fabulous job with the narration. I highly recommend this and each book in this series!

Entertaining!

This is book 13 in the outstanding In the Company of the Snipers Series, a Romantic Suspense. This is another great addition to the Series. This is a series of interconnected standalones. Ky and Eden's story is entertaining, suspenseful, and action packed. These characters are amazing. Eden's psychic asset is such an interesting addition to the story! I liked the storyline, the characters, the action, the paranormal twist, and the happy ending. Troy Duran did another fantastic job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend this Series. I am looking forward to listening to Lee, the next book in the Series.

Can't Get Enough of this Series!

This is another excellent addition to my favorite series. Irish Winters always makes you feel so much for her lead characters and it is a true gift to be drawn in and emotionally invested practically from the first line. I love that Ky and Eden's connection begins through her psychic ability. That is a unique plot line I haven't encountered in other books and it takes the action in quite a few unexpected directions. Just when you think the path is going one way or the story is wrapping up, nope, get ready for more. Every story is exceptional and I'm in awe of the plots she creates. I hope the well never runs dry.

I also love the other Team members who appear in each book, and Irish gives us the best non-Team supporting characters, too.. The smallest glimpses and details add so much and I always want to know more about them. One of my favorites this time around was Tate Higgins, Ky's partner in this adventure. He's a man of few words who often seems irritated, but he gets things done and deep down you know he cares, alot.

I say it a lot but it bears repeating: Troy Duran is the best voice for Irish's snipers. I can't imagine anyone else in his place. He gives every line so much meaning, picks up on every nuance and hits every emotional note at perfect pitch. His stellar performance of each book tells me he cares about these stories and characters as much as Irish and her readers/listeners do. Thank you both so much for making me giddy with excitement and happiness every time I listen. Few things give me more pleasure than getting lost in the world of the Team, and I am very grateful.

I have one very minor quibble: The expression "snap". Eden uses it to excess and it seems very out place, even for someone in her mid 20s. Ky internally wonders who uses the term anymore and that was almost enough to satisfy me, but later in the book Eden meets her uncle and he says it. He then goes on to say her grandmother says it as well. I find the possibility of adults that much older using the word with any credibility very remote. If they do it's awkward to say the least and it bugged me enough to pull me out the story. It's too generation-specific to go down smoothly for me.

So good!

Irish Winters does it again! This is one of my favorite romantic suspense series, each one unique and thrilling. I especially loved the one, as I love stories with psychic ability and this one incorporates it masterfully. Ky is injured, dying in Afghanistan when a woman comes to him and stays until he is rescued. But was she really there? Years later, Eden is in trouble, and Ky comes to her aid. Is she the woman who was there? Her psychic ability is strong, and their connection unbreakable. But her job using her abilities has her in danger. Will Ky be able to keep her safe? And is their connection real? Winters keeps us engaged with the entire team, and Mother is still giving her sage advice. Thrilling suspense with that paranormal twist adds to the loving relationship that is growing between Ky and Eden. Can’t wait for the next book!

Troy Duran continues his narration with his fabulous voice. His story telling is always amazing, and as Ky he shows strength and compassion, bravery and love. I truly enjoyed the performance and as always look forward to more from him.

tired of virginity topic

I mostly love this author and always love the narrator. I do think I am going to step away from the series for a while. I am becoming bothered by the woman so often being a virgin. And the occasional political trope. As a former soldier myself I gravitated to these story lines, nothing like the men I served with. But I find myself becoming bothered lately by the phrasing used to describe certain things. I find myself getting hung up on these aspects of the story and it detracting from my enjoyment of the story. But for those that do not get hung up on such things, maybe these will continue to be great stories for them.
