Scriptural Insights Reveal that the Food Instructions Apply to all Believers

When most people consider the dietary instructions contained within the Scriptures, they usually relegate them into the category of "things Jewish." In fact, Christians typically refuse to follow those instructions because they are considered to be part of "the Law" and thus to obey those instruction would bring one "under the Law" - which they perceive as bondage. What if the Creator actually gave the dietary instructions to mankind as a blessing? What if He was showing us the best things to eat because He made us and He wants us to be healthy? What if the refusal to obey those instructions results in sickness, disease and curses? Indeed, this is exactly what the Scriptures teach. In fact, we are witnessing those societal curses right now as they fall upon America and many western and Christian nations that fail to consider limitations and/or controls on their diet. While the religion of Judaism has developed a myriad of rules, regulations and traditions surrounding the dietary instructions, the actual Commandments are fairly simple and easy to obey. It is now time for every Believer to take a fresh look at the Scriptural dietary instructions in this new light and start exploring both the physical and spiritual blessings of obedience.
