A Tantalizing Teaser!!!

This was such a good book! Koreen Unfiltered is a prequel to this series and the author really managed to pack a lot into such a short novella. In less than an hour, we got messy talk show drama, marital problems, lowkey domestic violence, the loss of a baby, and a closeted gay husband outed on reality TV. Not only were the rumors about Bernie true but, he was also sleeping with KoKo's cousin! Chiiiiiiiile, this book was a hot mess but, in the best way. My heart just broke for KoKo because, she just refused to see Bernie for the trash that he was. I get that she was holding on because, they were high school sweethearts and KoKo saw something in him everyone else couldn't. But, high school Bernie exited the building a long time ago and so should present day KoKo. I just hate something so drastic and embarrassing had to wake her up from her cloud of stupidity. They say ignorance is bliss and, honey, Koko was entirely too blissful. The narrator did a phenomenal job. I'll have to add Trei Taylor to my list of fave narrators. Koreen Unfiltered was a great start to this series. I can't wait to see what's next for KoKo in book one.
