Critic reviews

"The action and sex come fast and furious.... Strong world-building, vivid personalities and the distinctive cultures of each of the various paranormal strains combine for a rich narrative, and Arthur's descriptive prose adds texture and menace." ( Publishers Weekly)

I love this author

Another wonderful series by Keri Arthur.

Things I love generally about Keri Arthur booms hold true for this series

1. Strong but not stupid protagonist who doesn’t make stupid choices and asks for help when she needs to without needing rescue.
2. Women who aren’t catty / competitive / insecure and comparing their bodies. When people dislike each other it’s for valid reasons. Female characters aren’t stuck in stereotypes and their behavior alters through the books as relationships change.

This series needs to be read as a whole together to appreciate the relationship angles and the paths to getting where she needs to go mentally and emotionally. Some books end on low notes and some on high notes, but the emotional side is picked up in the next story.

Switching narrators in a series is never good

The narrator just isn't good in this book. Some of the guys sound like girls and the girls sound like guys! I had a hard time following this book because of the narrator, which is too bad because I really enjoyed the first book.

Great series, not good narrator...

Did not like the narrator. Men's voices weren't very loud and if you turned up the volume to hear them better then the lead sounded like she was screaming. Story is awesome I loved the series and now I am enjoying listening to series while driving!

I love the series!

It only gets better, each book is even better than the last! I own it in paperback and only recently in audio for when traveling. Worth it!

Sexual Healing

Lord have mercy was this book sexual. Don't ask me about the plot, the characters, or anything else but the POON. Every single page, man! Not that it was a bad book by any means. It took me while to get into it, and the action wasn't half bad, but it is a very surface level read for me, something fun to pass the time. But if you want something with a lot of sex (trust me kids, I read a solid amount of romance novels and this one was FULL) then this is the book for you.

Vamps, weres and inbetweens

So glad I listened to this little nugget. Angela Dave does a superb job narrating this story based in Australia. Although I was a little lost regarding the cloning, this could be because this is the first story I have read by this author. The characters develop nicely and I felt included in the settings.

Worth the credit but be warned.....although this story is complete, it must continue in further episodes.

Good

This was a good book with a good storyline. The narrator was hard to differentiate between male and female and some characters sounded like she called them different names due to the accent. Otherwise a great novel!

Good

It was different from what I thought it would be.
I finished it and thought hummm.
Books with a cliff hanger always leave me meh.
