Publisher's summary

What's the worst thing about wanting a sexy NFL football player? Everyone else wants him, too.

After catching my boyfriend getting deep-throated by a skanky cage girl, I've learned my lesson - never date a professional athlete. Never. Besides, I have more important things to worry about, like not blowing my shot to make it as a broadcast reporter. I won't let anything get in my way, not even the new "it boy" of the NFL and my hot-as-hell neighbor.

What's the worst thing about getting death glares from his new neighbor? It doesn't make him want her any less.

I've worked my ass off to make it to the pros. The last thing I need is the complication of a relationship, especially since my last one was a total train wreck. But I can't stop thinking about the feisty girl next door with the smart mouth. And I'd love nothing more than to show her what to do with that mouth.

Friends with benefits might be the best idea he's ever had. Or the worst.

Great Series Ending!

It was nice to hear Daren’s story because he came across as such a jerk in book one of this series. As in the second book, we learn that Jax really isn’t as heartless as he seemed and he was actually a loving brother. It’s the same with Daren, Jax’s best friend. We get a glimpse into why he cheated on Clem, and the struggles he went through to try to forgive himself for his past mistakes.

I love the friendship that the three of them had together. It’s just an example of what happens when you are not completely honest with the people you love. Time passes and you spend a lot of time with the “what if’s”. Fortunately, they worked it all out in the end and became better friends for it.

Maddie wasn’t my favorite character, but she was good for Daren. I ended up liking her much better in the end, but even their love story could not compare to Jax and Dani.

Arielle and Nelson both made touchdowns with their performances!

Ok I read the 3rd book.

Ok regarding what I posted earlier, there are a lot of similarities. I moved through the last book, because I just wanted to listen to the last few chapters. I guess I just wanted to find out what happened to the gang.

What goes up.....you know the rest

Let me start off by saying the overall series is great. I just thought that the first book set the bar high.
Kissing Madeline is an enjoyable girl next door story. Nothing too earth shattering in the way of storyline, it's kind of predictable. This book seemed more about the sexual relationship I'm pretty sure that there were more visits to the lady garden in this one. I'm disappointing in Daren's story. I wanted interaction with the ex's and the family problem made no sense. It seemed forced I think I would have liked it better if the author didn't make an excuse and only used the fact that Clementine simply withdrew from him and he handled it all wrong. I recommend that you finish out the series especially if you have the Romance Package it's not a bad listen it just didn't have the same Wow Factor as the first book and the backstory seemed undeveloped and I won't lie I wanted a chance to meet Veronica in this one.

Sweet story

When I first started this series I didn't know Darren would be getting his own story but I am glad he did. I just don't get why he stayed with Victoria as long as he did. Nice easy read.

Nice story line, not overly raunchy

Easy listen. Just little things bothered me...like the characters talking about their "tummies". It seemed out of place.

Sexy, sweet, and exciting!

This entire series has been so heartfelt and wonderful. Kissing Madeline was no exception. I am often hard pressed to come up with my favorite book boyfriend, but there’s no question that football heroes are at the very top of the list. Daren was everything: strong, sensitive, and just a little bit damaged. I loved how his history played out against Maddie’s relationship history. I loved the sweet, honest relationship they built together. I found the mystery running through this one to be timely and interesting. In all - a perfectly satisfying audible experience!

excellent narrators

What a difference the story can do with excellent narrators. When the narrators read with passion and emotion, they are the reason I listen instead of reading the book, This story and narrators did not disappoint me. I highly recommend!
