Publisher's summary

Discover the hidden power soil has to reverse climate change and how a regenerative farming diet not only delivers us better health and wellness but also rebuilds our most precious resource - the very ground that feeds us.

Josh Tickell, one of America's most celebrated documentary filmmakers and director of Fuel, has dedicated most of his life to saving the environment. Now, in Kiss the Ground, he explains an incredible truth: By changing our diets to a soil-nourishing, regenerative agriculture diet, we can reverse global warming, harvest healthy, abundant food, and eliminate the poisonous substances that are harming our children, our pets, our bodies, and ultimately our planet.

Through fascinating and accessible interviews with celebrity chefs, ranchers, farmers, and top scientists, this remarkable book, soon to be a full-length documentary film narrated by Woody Harrelson, will teach you how to become an agent in humanity's single most important and time sensitive mission. Reverse climate change and effectively save the world - all through the choices you make in how and what to eat.

Great info

A lot of this stuff I knew growing up with my environmentally-minded mom. But a lot of the detail was revelatory for me, and so, so important. Thank you!

Equal parts terrifying and inspiring

This book was a lot to take in. The author gets straight to the heart of the matter, discussing how our industrial farming practices are impacting our climate, our society, and our health. While much of the message paints a very grim future, I appreciated that the author provided clear suggestions regarding what actions we can take individually, as a community, and as larger society to potentially "turn the tide" in what otherwise seems to be a lost cause.

How Agric Carbon Sequestration Can Save Us

Tickell presents very persuasive details on how modern agriculture is poisoning us, causing desertification, and contributing to global warming. We need to switch to regenerative agriculture to fix the world. This book tells how. It's a bit preachy toward the end, but otherwise it's a great book.

This is an incredibly important book. You’ll learn so much about how to feed yourself and your family for better health, how to make better choices and make a difference as a consumer, as well as how to heal the land, prevent droughts and floods, and reverse climate change. It’s interesting, practical, and a must-read for people seeking positive change for themselves, their communities, people, animals, healthy ecosystems, and the planet.
