Such potential

I love Tara Sivec books... but this one was a whiny diatribe. The male narrator was great! But the woman’s part was played with an angry emo tone and the last word of every sentence was dragged out—so annoying!

Cute

Cute yet predictable. Not a fan of the Tess character bossiness. Love the endearing behaviors once they got it together.

Funny with a side of cute

This is a really cute story, with a little bit of potty mouth and smut. If you don't mind those last two elements this is a really fun book. I laughed my head off in spots... I especially loved the part where the hero blurted out his secret embarrassment to comfort the heroine when her bestie over-shared hers.

There wasn't a bunch of manufactured drama and this was in general a very likeable couple.

I will forever look at blue slushies in a whole different light....

Absolutely love the series. It is sexy and fun in the audio is fantastic. I want to move to Summersweet island.

Ok but slow

There were a couple of comedic moments but the book dragged on and on. I would have liked deeper development of characters.

Good story but too much God & Jesus Christ

It’s a really cute story. I cringed every time God and Jesus Christ was used as a curse word. Occasionally is tolerable but it’s just too frequent for full enjoyment of this book.

My fellow Nola504Nerd Blogger [Angie] had the honor of arc’ing this book and gave it 5 stars. We are huge Tara Sivec fans, so I just had to buy the audio version. Tara Sivec never disappoints. She hits a hole in one with this hilarious and sexy romantic comedy. Palmer and Birdie have been friends forever but unfortunately had a falling out. They were both secretly in love with each other and despite their current hatred, still are. Life and golf bring these 2 back in each other’s lives on Summersweet Island. They can’t hide their undeniable lust for each other for long, which leads to some very steamy rendezvous. Who knew a golf course maintenance shed could be so sexy?! There are fun characters, hilarious banter, quick-witted humor, and incredibly sexy chemistry. The side characters are fun and really added to the story. I love Tara’s writing style and humor. She had me laughing out loud at my desk as I listened and left me smiling and happy in the end. I never cared for golf, but Tara totally made golf sexy!

“After dinner, you wanna sneak a couple of beers, get drunk behind the saltwater taffy place, and then let me touch your boobs?”

Kelsey Navarro is a favorite narrator of mine. She is always fantastic. I don’t think I had listened to Tim Paige before now, and he is definitely going on my list of favorite narrators! Kelsey and Tim were perfectly cast for these roles, embraced their characters, and brought the story to life. Their voices fit each character flawlessly and was distinct enough to differentiate between characters. Their tone, pacing and flow were exemplary. They and Tara Sivec worked so good together to create a superb listening experience. I’m a huge fan of audiobooks, especially when it is as incredibly delivered as this one.

good but predictable

It was easy to tell from the beginning how this story would end. 2 people that grew up together but never knew how the other felt. After years of pining for each other, they fall in love and live HEA. The author did a great job giving Birdie some fire. She was a hothead and a chicken at the same time. the narrators were great too.

Well now...

Golf and romance? Would that be a book to listen to? Well yes, yes it would. Golf and sex...ummm yeah, that’s a hole in one 🏌🏻 Alright, puns aside, this was a cute and hot story. I mean I will look at those players on screen a little differently when the hubby watches it and I usually nap.

Gotta love Tim And Kelsey narrating together, they just work!

Binged this and loved every second. This book and performance are everything I love about romance novels. The first golf book I’ve listened to and I loved it!! I listen to a lot of audiobooks - and this is my next series I’m going to devour! 1000% worth the credit! This is free on KU so worth the discounted whispersync price since it’s less than a credit! 👏
