Dynamic Characters, riveting story! Couldn't stop listing until it was finished. I hope Amore returns to this story line, can't wait for a third book to come out!

Good ole dime store western

Whereas book one was broodier, with shades of helter skelter occult badness, this one is more of a traditional western, with preacher Mike Tower and boozy gunslinger Bird Hitchcock rolling into a single town, dealing with a mysterious death, and tangling with a lot of distrustful and deceitful townsfolk. There’s still plenty of fights and a fair bit of gruesome acts (fire poker thru the face and a lot of headshots). There’s some humor befitting the pulpy, kind of cheesy, dime store novel feel of the book, like when Bird “cut down Mr. Seven and turned him into Mr. Three and a Half.” Naramore’s narration for females isn’t the greatest, and his narration for Bird especially grated on me. But, otherwise, I quite liked his voicing for preacher Tower and the menfolk. This second book still feels like shades of The Quick and The Dead, but that’s a good thing as our two damaged MCs are engaging precisely because of their flaws.

Killer's Draw

This is a good book. This is the second book in the series. It's a good western and mystery combined. Mike and bird makes a good team. This book holds your interest and keeps you wandering till the end. Mikael Naramore does an excellent job narration this book.
