Commander Mark Bishop is deliberately low-key: "I'm in the Navy." Mark wants someone to come home to after sea patrols. The woman he has in mind is young, with a lovely smile, and very smart. She's a civilian, yet she understands the U.S. Navy culture.

Publisher's Summary
Former combat medic Kory Wagner survived four war zones, but not without psychological scars. Suffering with PTSD has become the least of her problems though. Someone murdered her sister and they're now coming after Kory. Just as disturbing is the cocky, headstrong, and handsome sheriff on the case.
Sean Harding takes his job very seriously and isn't about to let the decorated veteran who managed to outsmart an entire search party hinder his investigation into her sister's death. Despite all his efforts to stay focused on the case, this beautiful and vibrant spitfire manages to capture his heart.
But if Sean has any hopes of a future with Kory, he must first convince her she needs help dealing with her problems, and he has to stop the killer before she becomes his next victim.

Powerful Listen!
Kill Shot by Anne Patrick is a clean and powerful listen that brought me new awareness of PTSD. I enjoyed this murder mystery in a christian format. I had never guessed the killer! Kudos to the author for not making the suspect obvious! I especially loved the pranks described in the book and found Kory to be a delightful character. The sense of community was well done in this book. Seth has a heart of gold, and his reaction to the bait was priceless. Leonor A. Woodworth was perfect bringing the characters to life. She added realistic emotions, and I could hear who was speaking.
I really enjoyed this christian murder mystery and will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I am looking forward to the next story in this series. I hope the deputy gets her story told.

Good Plot & Narration
Kory while in the military had seen it all, and survived. Her sister was murdered and she wanted answered. She hired a PI and also had a call that someone wanted to buy the warehouse. Both meeting were to be there , upon arriving she found her PI murdered, and someone wants her dead. She reported the murder to the police and then disappeared into the woods . The sheriff finally located where she was staying, intrigued by someone who could evade the search party. They work together and single to solve crimes. Strong believable characters, it also deals with the issues those Vets returning have to deal with. Excellent series and narration by Lenora
Woolworth added greatly to the story. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Returning Home
Kill Shot
Anne Patrick
This is an interesting novel dealing with Former combat medic Kory Wagner and the struggles she has returning to civilian life. She suffers from flashbacks and PTSD. When she returns to her grandfather's property, murder and suspense begin.
Sheriff Sean Harding tracks her down and they begin to get to know each other. They work together as well as independently to solve several crimes.
The Sheriff and others in the community try to help her restore her faith.
There is plenty of action, and a romance builds during the story.
I enjoyed this audiobook.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Leonor A Woodworth gave an excellent performance.

I'm not sure how this book is rated as a 'suspense'... it should be in the religious category. I dislike being mislead, and having religion shoved down my throat. I want my credit back.

Suspense at it's best!
Just when she thinks she can come home and try to acclimate to civilian life, Kory Wagner finds herself trying to find her sister's killer. She has been through it all, several tours in the Middle East with a nickname of Cat since she has 9 lives, this soldier should not have to be facing this tragedy. When she finds the private investigator she hires dead, things go from bad to worse. But Sheriff Seth Harding is here to help, and not only with the investigation! Kill Shot is suspenseful, full of twists and turns, and Anne Patrick weaves the perfect web, keeping us on the edge til the very end. Her stories are always amazing, and I love that we never know the answers, keeping us guessing. The characters in this story are extremely realistic. Patrick touches on some difficult topics like PTSD and survivor's guilt as she lets us in on pain and suffering a veteran may go through after coming home. We take so much for granted! Her basis of faith is always a calming sensation for me as I listen. This is another winner and I am glad to have had the chance to listen.
Leonor A Woodworth is always amazing, but I especially love her narrations of Anne Patrick's work. She has an expressive voice, and it lets all of the suspense and danger in. Her emotional pull is very real and keeps me invested in the characters and the outcome of the story. I loved it.
