Great recording but be careful

Wikipedia has the listed titles to the House at Pooh Corner. Just be aware that Pooh Invents a New Game and Tigger Comes to the Forest are exactly what's in the House at Pooh Corner. Hopefully Audible will come along and list the chapters so people don't do what I did...

This Audiobook is faulty.

The story is well-read and dramatised, but the chapters repeat themselves, and are not in the right order so you can't follow the story. There is something very wrong and mixed up here, which spoiled the whole experiance for me and my children. Story 3 is the same as story 7, and at least 2 other stories are also repeated and out of order.

What a Cast!

It was lovely! Stephen Fry, Judi Dench and cast were wonderful. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wonderful presentation of this classic.

Dench and Fry read this in a style that keeps the whimsy of the book without crossing over into the twee. The voices are superbly cast - I particularly liked Kanga and Piglet. The slight Aussie accent for Kanga worked and Jane Horrocks' Piglet is how I hear it in my head when I read the book. Eeyore also is good. I particularly liked that this is the full unabridged and unedited text of the original book.

My 5 Year Old Loves It!

Such a lovely story and great for family audiobook time. My five year old loves listening and particularly likes Kanga and Roo.

Charming and beautifully realized.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, I don't even think that you need the excuse of having small children. A.A. Milne is whimsical enough on his own, but the cast brings these voices to life in ways I had never even been able to imagine, not a false note among them.

What other book might you compare Winnie the Pooh: The House at Pooh Corner (Dramatised) to and why?

The first in the series, 'Winnie the Pooh', though it's a bit obvious to mention it.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

They are varied enough that they are immediately distinguishable and so full of personality you expect them to walk out of your head, complete and large as life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but each chapter is great on its own, as well.

Actually the Best!

I am constantly quoting this book.
The last chapter is a call to arms. I cry every time I hear it.

Great Story But Sound Quality Issues

Great story and voices are good. But the story volume in horrible. It’s loud then barely audible then perfect then loud again. It’s all over the place.

A Delightful Return to Childhood

Can you picture a more perfect Eyesore than Geoffrey Palmer? Or a more adorable Tigger than Jane Horrocks? I don't think I ever heard these characters in any particular voice when I first read them. But I will forever hereafter hear this cast when I revisit my beloved Pooh in the future.
