For Kids 5-7 like Audible says, maybe up to 12y.

I bought this book because I want to keep my kids interested in books and also get them into audiobooks. I started listening to it as if it were one of my books and realized I can't because complex story lines would disinterest kids, so I listened to it compared to books like Charlotte's Web, Tom Sawyer and younger kids reading books.
From this point of view, yes, this is quite an interesting listen that would keep kids interested with the ideas of super powers and some unexpected events in the scenes. No large vocabulary, no deep character back stories, no plot twists, no foul language, nothing that would make you think "Hey, I'm 37 and I really think the author was trying to say something to me to change my life.", yeah, none of that.
This is a kids book through and through, basic setup, basic plot, interesting characters with easily pronounced names. Feodor Chin does a great job reading this with the idea, this book is for kids.
I would not suggest this to another adult unless they wanted to listen to it prior to their kids listen to it as I have done.

Mediocre at best

Potentially interesting concept, but the story falls short. I almost gave up on it several times and will not bother with the sequels. Also, some of the accents of the characters are pretty awful.

fun book for anyone that enjoys a 'Super' story

I enjoyed this book. and my kids 8-14 thought it was fantastic! (We also bought the hard copy for my son so he could read along.) This is a great springboard for what I hope will be a great 'super' series.

Great for a younger audience

The writing was geared to younger readers, the characters were too formulaic for me, but I would have thought this AWESOME when I was around 12 yrs old. So for that audience I give this high marks. Clean language. I'm keeping this book so I can share it with my son in a few years when he is older and can enjoy it.

Mehh...

I feel as though this book is more suited for younger readers, 10, 11, 12.

An entertaining story,

perfect if you like stories where the underdog comes out on top, I enjoyed the little twist at the end. No disrespect to the narrator Mr. Chin, he is a talented performer, however I would have been more captivated if they would have used a second narrator do split up the dialog between the characters. This of course is just a personal preference of mine.

Action packed superpower children's story

Children around the world receive zodiac animal inspired super powers and become the targets of an evil organization led by a super villain wielding the power of the dragon. While not the most original plot line, the story is fairly entertaining for young audiences. The book basically moves from one action fighting scene to the next with little in the way of character development. I would recommend Zodiac to superhero genre enthusiasts between ages 8-15.
