Zero dollars, two minutes

If you are wondering how synchronized images work, this would be the best way to find out. It costs nothing and takes very little time. I thought the story was cute, the pictures okay and I will get more with images and try some more Potter.

Story is predictable and is for very young children.

Very Beatrix Potter

Cute little story and very typical! I forgot how short some of her stories are! It is age appropriate for young children, as all the B.P. stories are. Narrator also evokes a B.P. style very well.

What the prior reviewer may not have realized is that in England, then and now, the term "Pussie/ Pussy" is what cats are called, along with "Puss" and not at all a derogatory term. This term also used in Mother Goose nursery rhymes. If a possible problem, perhaps an explanation of this as the proper use of the term as used would be in order. However, it would seem more appropriate not to make anything of it at all...

Short snippet

This price is right on this little snippet of a story. The art work and pictures are classics. Be sure to listen on a device that has a video screen.

This story reminds me of the books and clothed animal stories my grandmother always had in her home.

Short and sweet.

nicely done, but better as a regular book

cute, but this is a picture book for children. it's difficult to get the full effect when it's converted to an audiobook.

of course!

Any additional comments?

A fan of all of Beatrix Potters stories, I was excited to download this one - bringing me back to my childhood bedtime moments. The narrator did a fine job matching the childlike persona's of the characters. Definitely a lovely listen.

Pictures as you go!

This is an excellent audible audio book! Not only is this a part of the Beatrix Potter collection but if you are listening to this book through your audible app there are pictures to follow along with the story. Although so short, the story itself doesn't really have a morale. Miss Moppet is a cat who is being picked on/bullied by a mouse. Once trapping the mouse and wanting to "teach" the mouse a lesson she starts to throw the mouse around to find out in the end that the mouse had already gotten away and continues to tease Miss Moppet.

I understand that the story is a classic, part of a collection and very short, I feel like some of the stories in the collection shouldn't or can't stand alone. I gave this audio book 4 stars because Audible does an amazing job with these children stories with giving pictures to follow along with the stories. Gale Van Cott does an excellent job with voicing the tale.

Over all I think this would be an excellent addition to your audible or audio book collection.

1 minute long...

This is The Story of Miss Moppet. It is a total of 1 minute long. I don't know if this is just 1 story from a longer book of stories or not, but I hope so. I'm not sure I see the value in downloading it for 1 minute of enjoyment. It was free and it is the story in its entirety, so there should be no complaints. I guess it could be used in classrooms for those who are interested in theatre for beginners. Just a thought. :-)
