Kids love it!

Would you listen to The Shore Road Mystery again? Why?

My kids love all the Hardy Boys, especially ones narrated by Irwin. Ages 4-8 love listening to all available stories by him.

The Best of the Hardy Boys Audiobooks

I read a bunch of the Hardy Boys books when I was a kid, and my kids have loved rediscovering both these and Nancy Drew mysteries on Audible. I've ended up listening to most of them with them, and with this one -- I felt like the Hardy Boys audiobooks really hit its stride, making it the most entertaining of the Hardy Boys series. Irwin gives mostly a straight read, but his Chet Morton is hilarious, and while the brothers help bust a stolen car ring with the help of their friends, Chet becomes a vegetarian (FOR SCIENCE!!!) and also plays a significant part in stopping the thieves. If you want one ride back down the road of nostalgia, this is your best bet.

These books are pretty standard from a story perspective and without much characterization. Narrator Bill Irwin is the MVP here, somehow managing to make it all very listenable despite the books' shortcomings. Still, the boys getting to solve mysteries when the grown-ups can't (or at least, can't do it alone) is fun times for my kids.

Awesome

love audible... story was great and narration great. I have several hardy boy books... not huge on the newer ones, but love the older ones.

Another solid Hardy Boys

Good story with steady pace. A little more serious violence than usual. Four attempted murders, not just against the Hardy boys. We listen to these with our kids, this one we would have skipped if we pre-screened.

Unhateble ( if that's a word!!)

I love this soooooo much, the story is great the narration is extremely clear and the extra music just makes this even more thrilling. I could listen to this 20 times and not even dislike the story. Audible is such a great company and I highly reccomend it. I love it!!♡

Absolutely fun!

Fun, brilliant and wildly entertaining. Wherever they go, no matter what, there's always something. A mystery worth listening to, again and again.
