My grandson will love this book.

I like to preview books before giving them. This one is full of all that makes a good mystery without leaving a person frightened. I know he will enjoy it and pick up several new words.

the story starts out fast and exciting and keep that tempo throughout the story , most things that happen are predictable but still a good listen.

Narrator cartoonish and unbelievable

Apparently Mannal thinks 17 year Joe Hardy should sound like 9 year old.
While Bill Irwin was wonderful in narrating Hardy Boys books one through, Mannal is abysmal in narrating volumes 7 through 10, and ruins the suspension disbelief. Returning or exchanging volumes 8 through 10.
