Ten of the best known tales from The Arabian Nights, including: "The Talking Bird, the Singing Tree, and the Golden Water", "The Fisherman and the Jinni", "The Young King of the Black Isles", "Gulnare of the Sea", "Aladdin", "The Story of Prince Agib", "The City of Brass", "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", "Codadad and His Brothers", and "Sinbad the Sailor".
The stories are fun except for the way they are narrated. The narrator sounds as if she is giving a news report.

I've read Richard Burtons collection of stories and Pasolini's " Arabian Nights" is perhaps my favourite film of all time. I was looking forward to this audio collection but I found the narrators North American saccharine delivery so dreadful that I could not bear more than a few stories. I did my utmost to go beyond my dislike of her awful cloying whine /twang, but I but could not manage it. Having enjoyed a very high standard of delivery on all the other titles I have listened to from audiobooks...I just gave up on this one.
