Publisher's summary

Stuart Little is a shy, philosophical little mouse with a big heart and a taste for adventure. In spite of his diminutive stature, barely two inches tall, Stuart sets forth into the world with some mighty big plans: to ride a Fifth Avenue bus, to win a sailboat race in Central Park, and to teach school for a day. But Stuart's greatest adventure begins when he decides to find his best friend, Margalo, a pretty little bird who once lived in a Boston fern in the Littles' house in New York City. Climbing into his tiny car, Stuart hits the open road, sure he's heading in the right direction, only to find himself in for a big surprise. Filled with warmth, wit, and wonder, Stuart Little is a timeless tale that speaks to the heroic spirit in all of us, no matter what our size.

Timeless story

If you could sum up Stuart Little in three words, what would they be?

Gentle, compelling, timeless

What does Julie Harris bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Clearly read at just the right pace to be understood by a child. A gentle read.

Any additional comments?

Excellent way to introduce a child to the pleasure of audio books. Each chapter stands on its own and captures the attention of the young listener. I enjoyed this book in my youth and found my grandson equally entertained.

great

I loved this book, and the ending was great. Also the ending was a cliffhanger and that was the great thing about this because you don't know if he found the bird or if he didn't find the bird

Kept us all thoroughly entertained

We loved this version of Stuart Little. Julie Harris has a wonderful voice and of course the story is timeless. My 8 year-old cackled through the whole story.

A classic tale beautifully told

What a joy to share this classic story with my boys - and to hear Julie Harris' elegant, gentle and wonderful reading of it! I vividly recall the way I felt discovering Stuart as an early reader. This narration brought that back.

Great narration of a classic!

Julie Harris does a fantastic narration. This is a favorite for our whole family on long car trips. Our kids like listening to this story better than watching DVDs! Highly recommended.
