If you thought the OT atories were missing a bit of the details then you will love this book. It looks into thinks you probably never thought of. Like the how the engineer of the DS2 felt about his monstrous creation. Very well written and executed

my only issue with this one, the author would sometimes choose to talk directly to the listener or write as if he were talking to the characters. He didn't do it often but when he did it was distracting, other than that he did a good job.

What did you like best about this story?
This book adds just the right emotions and settings to fill in the holes that were in the original story.

The author added very little in the way of details about the story original story. He describes the gold mine's opening (in vivid detail) that the original story left behind and then didn't actually mine the story. Instead, he chose to have a narrative with the reader. At first, I found this really annoying. Once I treated it as if I was sitting around a campfire listening to somebody tell the story, it stopped bothering me. Perhaps, the story is designed for a very young audience.
The story isn't bad... it's just very disappointing because the wealth of the story not told.
Marc Thompson was excellent as always. It was kind of fun to imagine him standing around a campfire telling the story.
The best of the young reader re-tellings of the SW trilogy. Not too much to say, really. It's ROTJ. There are a few interesting tidbits thrown in, like Luke building his new light saber, but beyond that, it's the story we all know and love.
My only complaint is that, like the other two in this series, the author refuses to EVER use contractions. It's extremely distracting and makes it sound very unnatural.
I start by saying that Return of the Jedi is my favorite movie, but the author explains things to the point of tedium. I can only speculate that it is to extend the length of the story. The problem is that every time the narration comes up it breaks the flow, and pulls the listener out of the story.
The best solution would be to actually expand on the story with new material.
Mark Thompson does a great job as always.
Wow! This book was in my opinion a must for a Star Wars fans everywhere, it was like Star Wars taken to the next level (which is not easy to do). I loved the emotion of every character being shown, and explained. It was everything I wanted and more. 5 out of 5. 10 out of 10. 100 out of 100! Best book I've ever seen, would reccomend. Bye for now I have to go re-litsen to it for the 3rd time!
This book is great for any Star Wars fan: Young or old, big or small, girl or boy! I loved the sound effects!
