Publisher's Summary

Since the dawn of mankind, we have closed our weary eyes and settled our tired bodies into a place called home - always blind to the company with which we stay. From the dull caves of our forefathers, to the mighty castles of the middle ages, and all the way to the civilized neighborhoods of today, they - the "monsters" under the bed - have lived among us caught in the shadows of coexistence...until now.

Well produced family fun

Would you consider the audio edition of Sheldon the Sleep Monster to be better than the print version?

This audio edition lends itself well to kindling kids' imaginations on car trips that extend past the "are we there yet" mile marker.

What other book might you compare Sheldon the Sleep Monster to and why?

For older kids and their parents, the book might be reminiscent of "Monsters, Inc."

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The humor is gentle and will leave you smiling.

Any additional comments?

As a pediatrician, I'm always on the lookout for child-friendly books that offer imaginative alternatives to mass-market kid-lit. Sheldon the Sleep Monster is one of those.

Any additional comments?

I hope the author writes a second book and has Bruce record it again.
