Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Gordon Korman harkens back to his No More Dead Dogs days in this stand-alone that takes a tone more serious than you've ever heard from him before.

A boy who's been a bully and hanging out with the wrong friends gets a new start after a memory-loss-inducing accident. But can someone really change who he is, or will the old him merely come back over time?

Engaging for the Whole Family

Book was on the 5th Grade Summer reading list, the story was engaging, different voices for the different characters helped my kid to follow along and stay engaged. A great tale on doing the right thing.

Wonderful story with personality and charm.

It's appropriately modern without trying to hard and the story has a good message without being politically correct. The characters (at least the ones that share their perspective) are all interesting and distinct. I personally wouldn't let a young child listen to this, but I definitely see it being entertaining and relevant for the 8 - 13 audience.

Great redemption story

This story is a great plot for middle school students. Full of enough humor and plot twist to keep them hooked with a great theme about being your best self, even when you haven't been in the past.

entertaining

it was fun listening to the book. seemed like it was written to become a movie in the future. example, few characters, problem, change with few climax then misdirection finished with a good and happy ending. too bad life isn't like this.

Excellent!

My 9 year old daughter and I listened to this together while she followed along with the printed book. She enjoyed the various narrators who portrayed the characters and the story line kept her interest. I highly recommend - and so does my daughter!

Awesome

One of the best inspirational middle-school children’s story. Great cast of characters and incredibly well-told stories. The kids and I absolutely loved it.
