The classic novel - now available in audio!

Paddington Bear loves to lend a paw. From taking a saw to Mr. Curry's kitchen table to extinguishing a surprise flambé, each time Paddington helps out, things tend to get messier before they improve. But with his special tool kit, his playful wits, and just a little bit of marmalade, Paddington can take any day and make it extraordinary!

First published in 1960, Paddington Helps Out is the third novel by Michael Bond chronicling the adventures of this classic character. Paddington has charmed generations of fans with his earnest good intentions and humorous misadventures.

I really love paddington and the book is no exception but....(sigh)

I was disappointed that the old narrator didn’t narrate this book. In my review of A bear called paddington I mentioned he didn’t stay but...I wished he did😥

Fit to be enjoyed 😀

I think Paddington is not fit to live in a human world. He causes problems wherever he goes: flooding the launderette, disturbing the orchestra, spilling food on the other guests at the theater and much more. Also, his "hard stare" is completely inappropriate. He thinks he can get whatever he wants just by intimidating people. That Aunt Lucy probably taught for just that reason. Not to mention, he is entirely too pushy and insists on having his way no matter what. And for further note, that grumpy old Mrs Bird will always insist he's an innocent little bear who would never make a mistake. He cut Mr. Curry's table IN HALF for Pete's sake and what did she do? Apologize? No! She stands up for him! Sure it's an accident, even I realize that, but a table! That costs a lot of money and is extremely necessary. Ship Paddington back to Darkest Peru!
