Publisher's Summary

The New York Times best-selling series soars to even greater heights with a new prophecy and five new dragonets ready to claim their destiny!

Peace has come to Pyrrhia - for now.

The war between the tribes is finally over, and now the dragonets of the prophecy have a plan for lasting peace: Jade Mountain Academy, a school that will gather dragonets from all the tribes and teach them to live together, perhaps even as friends. Moonwatcher isn't sure how she feels about school, however.

Hidden in the rain forest for most of her life, the young NightWing has an awful secret. She can read minds and even see the future. Living in a cave with dozens of other dragons is noisy, exhausting, and dangerous.

In just a few days, Moon finds herself overwhelmed by her secret powers and bombarded by strange thoughts, including those of a mysterious dragon who might be a terrible enemy. And when someone starts attacking dragons within the academy, Moon has a choice to make: stay hidden and safe? Or risk everything to save her new friends?

Dragons you can believe in.

I have purchased and am listening to all of these books. I will write a more thorough review of the first five books. Currently I am working my way through books 6-10. The details and story development are excellent. The dragons have so much character and there is such a variety - they might as well be human. The detailed development of each of the tribes of dragons was masterfully done. Each has its own colors, own talents, own special abilities, very distinct diets and environments. There was a lot of thought put into these books.
The books are great for young adult - which is their target audience. My one complaint - the first several books were excellent - with good stories and involved plots. The last couple However seem barely more than glorified short stories. This one in particular - there is only one plot line. A new school opens after the war - with the intention of drawing the tribes closer together and ending future conflicts. Before the school is two days old - dragons are dead and the survivors are dispersing with a variety of missions. Each of those mission may become worthy of a book - however, I feel this story should have been the first couple of chapters in a much longer book. The fact that the audience is young adults or youth - isn’t any excuse for the brevity. Young people are capable of reading books in much greater length and detail. I feel I have wasted my audible credits. After the first two - I thought these books would be worthy of the credits I spend to get them. I am very disappointed at this point. These could have been up there with Harry Potter books - but the lure of easy money has cheapened the books while greatly increasing the cost to the individual reader.

good start of a new arc.

This is a great book with a great reader. This series is a like a young adult Game of Thrones, but with a great moral on friendship and working together.
