Granddaughter approved ☺️

Even though this is a very short listen my granddaughter found it entertaining. Between the well done narration and the 4 minutes of peace I got while the little monster listened made this well worth owning. I was given this free audio book at my request and have voluntarily provided this review.

All the Kings Horses and All the Kings Men

Perfect short listen for young kids attending Day Care or preschool. Gregg Rizzo did a good job with narrating the book.

Good, unexpected

I wasn't aware that Lewis Carroll had written such a story. Being such a fan of the Alice books, I had to see this. It was a very different kind of fairy tale about the famous egg-man and his journey to stay whole.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Humors Dumpty gets his groove back with a little help.

Lewis Carroll gives his unique treatment to the mythology of the Dumpty family. This story follows the son of The Humpty Dumpty in your childhood book of Nursery Rhymes. Our Dumpty is also called Humpty Dumpty and he is nervous that he too will bring dishonor on his family name if he is not more careful than his father was.

With a little help from a wise black hen and a farmer’s wife, this next generation Dumpty steels himself for adventure! Find out how in this charming little story by everyone’s favorite logician/children’s author.

The narration was excellent. You gotta be curious about this one!

A different story

This is not the Humpty Dumpty rhyme. This was an original story to me.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by this narrator and I would listen to another. He reads it for kids, but not in the exaggerated talk-to-a-kid way.

There are no explicit sex scenes or excessive violence or swearing.

Humpty Dumpty’s son

This is a cute little short story (under 5 minutes) about Humpty Dumpty’s son. He definitely learned from his father’s misfortune and found a solution so that he wouldn’t succumb to the same fate.

Unexpected Story, Wrong Author

As far as I've been able to determine this particular Humpty Dumpty story was not written by Lewis Carroll, but rather W.W. Denlow, who adapted and illustrated it in 1903.

Aside from this authorship error, this is a fun little story. It is not simply the Humpty nursery rhyme most are familiar with, but rather the story of Humpty Dumpty's son who is trying to find a way to avoid his father's tragic fate. Gregg Rizzo does a great job narrating, which made the unexpected story even better.

The rest of the story!

The tale of Humpty Dumpty has always been a bit sad to me as there seems to be no hope for Humpty Dumpty. Carroll's version tells the story with a twist...what if HD got wise and did something to change his fate. Entertaining listen with great narration that makes me root for HD as he stays in one piece and goes on many adventures.

Humpty Dumpty's Son

I didn't know Lewis Carroll wrote this amusing little story about Humpty Dumpty's son, but I was glad to find it. I can just imagine Carroll making up the story to entertain his young friends, and I'm sure it'll entertain this generation as well. It's perfect for a quick bedtime story.

The narration was clear and easy to understand. I requested a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
