A 5 star must have for ages 5 to 10 🌟

I love Brothers Grimm stories. I'm so pleased I got to share this one with my granddaughter who also loved it. This book is made even better by Heidi Gregory's narration. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Classic well read

This is the fourth book I’ve read/listened to by this author. This story had a little more detail than I’ve ever read before. One of the typical classic fairy tales.

This is the fourth book I’ve listened to by this narrator. She again puts forth an excellent narration of a kids book.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

Don't take candy from strangers.

It's always funny how dark some of these old children's tales can be, and this is no exception. Child abandonment, abduction, cannibalism, oven murder, 'Hansel and Gretel' has it all. Heidi Gregory does her usual fantastic job narrating. An excellent production of a classic tale, and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

A Lovely Narration of a Wonderful Tale

This is such a wonderful tale to read but add in Heidi Gregory's narration and it truly is a lovely listen! Heidi Gregory does such an excellent job narrating these wonderful tales, giving the voices such uniqueness. If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing Ms. Gregory then I suggest you put it off no longer! You won't be disappointed.

Great Children's Classic

This is the original brothers Grim's story not cleaned up. It may be frightening for the young ones. Adults however who remember this original story will fully appreciate it. It is a bit gruesome but you can't help admiring the children's tenacity and ability to get out of hopeless situations.

The synopsis: The woodcutters family had no food so the wife told the father that they must bring Hansel and Gretel to the forest. This way they will be lost and they wouldn't be responsible for feeding them, The lost children eventually found a house in the woods. A wicked witch disguised as an old woman lived there. She would lure in children and then cooked them for a feast. The children were captured. While Gretel was made to help the witch cook Hansel, she tricked the witch and pushed her in the stove where she was burnt to death.

I was gifted a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

The one I've been hoping for

My kids love this narrator's fairy tales. They've all been obsessed with 2 fairy tales for as long as I can remember: Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel. So I was thrilled to hear that Heidi Gregory recorded this. It was everything I could have hoped for. I can't wait to share it with the wee ones.
