The Ladderless Window-Cleaning Company certainly doesn't. They don’t need a pail, either, because they have a pelican with a bucket-sized beak. With a monkey to do the washing and Billy as their manager, this business is destined for success. Now they have their big break - a chance to clean all 677 windows of the Hampshire House, owned by the richest man in all of England! That’s exciting enough, but along the way there are surprises and adventures beyond their wildest window-washing dreams.

The stories are a little difficult to understand as the narrators voice is not the clearest.

Bedtime Story

We really on ever listen to Fantastic Mr Fox, but the narrator does such a great job. My kids love it as a bedtime story.

My daughter really enjoyed this! She has to read for school and ended up being intrigued by the storyline.

Interesting

I downloaded this book so that I could share my love of “reading” with my 6 year old. I really wanted Esio Trot, but it was only available as an audio in this set. I was unfamiliar with the 3 other stories; the voices and some of the story in Fantastic Mr. Fox scared her and the story about the crocodile also scared her. Overall, we did enjoy this but I think I would’ve preferred to have read it to her myself.

Incredible ensemble

Such a fun, expertly executed reading by a top notch caste. Can it get any better than Hugh Laurie serenades? Or Chris O'Dowd as Fantastic Mr Fox?

Enjoyable short stories, well narrated

Short stories with several different narrators. Audio is well placed and understandable. Good introduction to some of Dahl's writing.
