Excellent Story—Horrible Narrator. Read the book.

The stories in this series are wonderful. I liken them to a rip off of Harry Potter books - but I really do mean that in a nice way – REALLY! (If you're going to rip off any book series - best to choose one of the best series in book history.)
These books are very well written and creative. I love the characters and their charming, even touching, interactions. Like Harry Potter books, I wish I could travel into the elf world right along with the characters.
All of that said - Read the book instead of doing the audiobook. This narrator is second-rate at best. She has about 3 distinct character voices and uses them for about 20 different characters. She rarely uses inflection, timing or emotion within her narration.
I only suffered through her narration because as I was so into the books that I wanted to use ever spare second to continue advancing the story and, quite frank, the police frown on you actually reading while driving.
So, if you can, read the book. If you're like me, however, and simply must use every spare second to read - do both. I learned from this that Audible and Kindle sync to each other! Really - I have no idea how they do it, but, seriously, how cool is that?!

This series gets better and better!!

The performance in this audio is impeccable and exhilarating! So glad they re casted the narrator!

This story is exciting, addicting, and just wonderful. The character development not only with Sophie, but all the supporting characters is riveting! Messenger knows how to delicately, exceptionally weave a phenomenal storytelling!

A great continuation!

This epic tale continues to take me on a emotional rollercoaster and it's wonderful that a continuation keeps up with it's predecessor.
