I LOVE DROVER!!!! So glad that J. R. E. wrote a book on the life of Drover. Here is the plot:
Drover is a small puppy who is too old to stay in the house so his mother wants him to go out into the world and find a job.
It was written as if someone who isn't very smart is having a conversation with you. Love the tangents he runs on!
I kind of missed having Hank around, but still it was very good.
Very well done!

Drover decides to write his memoirs! OMG!
If you were every wondering about Drover's backstory, here it is. You won't want to miss Pete the barn cat teaching Drover how to fly or Drover telling us about how he wanted to go to "Handsome Prince School". All of this and how he had to go out and find a job and you have a great listen. All the characters are excellent and we get great insight into Drover's personality.
This is one of my kid's very favorite one and he will listen to it to go to sleep, sometimes even though he has heard it over and over.

My favorite so far
this book goes over Drovers early life and how his chronic leg problems began. our whole family laughed all the way through this book. extremely well written and always love listening to this author read his own books.

So much better than I expected!!!!!
When l saw that this was a book on drover l prepared myself for some dumb sequel to the Hank the cowdog series. Imagine my surprise and delight when l realized that this book is funny and heartwarming.
