Publisher's summary

Nikki Maxwell authors an advice column for the school newspaper in this fifth installment of the New York Times best-selling Dork Diaries series.

Nikki Maxwell develops a sudden interest in student journalism that may or may not (okay, definitely does) have to do with the fact that mean girl Mackenzie has started writing a gossip column. And there just might be some info involving Nikki’s crush, Brandon, that Nikki doesn’t want Mackenzie reporting to the world. So Nikki joins the school newspaper staff - and ends up as an advice columnist!

It’s fun at first, answering other kids’ letters. But when Miss Know-It-All’s inbox is suddenly overflowing with pleas for guidance, Nikki feels in need of some help herself. Fortunately she has BFFs Chloe and Zoey on her side - and at her keyboard!

another friend

this book was pretty sweet.. one part that made me laugh out loud was in the beginning when Mckenzie said something mean to Nikkie but it was funny.. in this book Brianna surprises Nikkie by helping her out with Mckenzie and she doesn't even know it. I'm really liking the way Nikkie is always triumphing over Mckenzie and she doesn't even have to try that hard it proves that nice guys can finish first. I love it.

Overall good but mixed feelings.

To me it was a good book for my kid and it was harmless but after she read them a lot and began to really really sink into her I felt like she was trying to be like Nikki and say that her life was so horrible and it was making her really depressed and Now she has come pass that and just stopping reading books that just really have an negative influence like this I think Is a really good thing not only for my child but also for Mothers and fathers who wanna raise Children who are confident themselves. but cute story.

Great,but…

Amazing book and the narrator is just fantastic, but in the middle of the book where Nikki is not Miss-Know-It-All, and literally everything is falling apart: First, Mackenzie crosses out her name. Then, she try’s to tell her insane newspaper teacher that her name was crossed out before she knew that Makenzie had done it,but she is too nervous and just asked to use the bathroom. Next, she again try’s when she figures out it was Makenzie, but the teacher just like sends her out. Then she has to go back in or else her Bffs apparently would “Whip her butt” if she didn’t. Then, she is just about to leave the teachers office when he says that he doesn’t have a job for her. Next, after the teacher tells her that he actually has a job for her (Being Miss-Know-It-All) and when she FINALLY get’s back to school from a very LONG,LONG weekend, her Miss-Know-It-All help box is just FULL OF TRASH. Finally after some help of her Bffs, she makes about 5 help boxes that look super cute, and she finally actually gets some letters. I just wish it took a bit less time for her to get some actual letters. But I really love the book and the series.
