AWESOME narration!

The story is phenomenal and the way it is read (the voices, the accents etc.) kept my 5th grade students captivated and glued to the edge of their seats. This is by far THE BEST narration I've heard to date!

WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE, SILLY STORYLINE

My 8-year-old daughter is currently reading and listening to all of Roald Dahl books. So far she’s Read: The Magic Finger, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Matilda, The BFG, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and this book. This was her least favorite. She loved the narrator’s performance, but though the storyline was dreadful. She thought the outer space adventure was “too wild” and “unadventurous” and the notion of a “Wonka-Vite”, and “Minusland” were just “too silly.” She did like the Oompa-Loompa song teaching children the consequences of taking drugs from their patents’ medicine cabinet. And she appreciate Learning about the danger of “excess” and the beauty in “humility” referenced in the book.

This book is incredible

This book is really good. Ronald dahls imagination is out of control in the great glass elevator. The book is amazing. I mean, vamicious canids, that takes some imagination and I want to say for the last time this book is epic

Great, but the first was better

I loved this book, but it doesn't come close to the first one. The plot is a bit wild. Still, Charlie is one of my favorite characters and I love his adventures! 🍫🍫🍫

Best Book Ever

I love this book I read it more than "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". This book is great for kids with big imaginations. Once I start reading it I don't want to stop. So if you haven't read it, start reading NOW!📖

Storyline Is Terrible

The book narrator was amazing and was the main reason I bought the second Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book. I'm sad because the storyline was simply terrible. It didn't make sense and was all over the place. Very disappointed.

Liked it a LOT

I really liked this and I would recommend it to all readers and listeners. The only thing I didn't like was that Douglas Hodge tends to punctuate the words a little too much. For example, when willy Wonka says, " my dear lady!" To aunt Josephine, it sounds like he's saying it through gritted teeth and trying hard not to yell. Like this: "MY DEAR LADY!"
But other than that, this book is worth the money! Buy it!
