Cairo Jim is an often eccentric and delightfully funny adventure series for kids, written and narrated by Australian children’s novelist and poet Geoffrey McSkimming.
In Cairo Jim and the Rorting of Rameses’ Regalia, our awkward and fumbling archaeologist hero with a heart of gold, Cairo Jim, and his best bud animal pals, a macaw and a camel, make another amazing ancient artifact discovery. This time, they find dark, enigmatic hieroglyphics that could be instructions on how to unleash a most magical power. Things get much more suspenseful and whimsical from there.
"When you tire of stories about the places and people you know, try the witty word play and over-the-top adventure of Cairo Jim for an outrageous tonic." (The Age)
When I was young, I enjoyed those books that made me think and stretch my imagination. Now that I have grandchildren, I still enjoy those types of books. Mr. McSkimming has a passion for his magnum opus, and a great sense of humor. Doris, Brenda and Jim of Cairo share a deep love for one another, and I look forward to more of their adventures gracing these pages.
