Editorial Reviews

Allie's friend Bettina has an unusual request: Her aunt needs help contacting a dead relative. It's all part of a day's work for this teen detective for the supernatural, so Allie joins her friends from the Exorcists' Club to hold a séance in Bettina's house, but things don't quite turn out the way they expect. Narrator Melissa Chambers' down-to-earth performance is a true delight. She fleshes out the personalities of 11-year-old Allie and her friends in a believable manner, and listeners will quickly get a vivid impression of the characters and their quirks.
