The key to staying alive

lies buried in forgotten memories

Ten years ago, forensic artist Jacy Urban escaped her abductor with no memory of that night. Now two teenage girls are missing, and all signs indicate that the same kidnapper is back on the hunt. When Jacy is attacked, it’s clear she’s the assailant’s next target. Only Detective Cash Rawson is there to rescue her—again. Can Cash help Jacy recover her memories before she’s silenced for good?

Good audio books start with the narrator. If the voice doesn't have emotion or lilt, the story doesn't go anywhere, and you struggle to listen to the book. They make or break the book. This narrator kept my attention and really helped to paint a picture of what was going on in the story. I finished the story in one day.

As a fast-paced action narrative, this story satisfies with surprises and constant danger. I began to doubt whether our protagonists would find a vehicle for safe transportation. Unless I missed an embedded clue, I could not identify the antagonist until the possible identity was suggested.
The story also includes faith in God’s plan, and I appreciate that truth as it is interwoven within the story.
The only suggestion I have for the author would be to choose another expression rather than repeating the phrase “a long moment.”
This selection is my first solely written by Ms Scott; however, I will choose another in the future.
