Publisher's summary

A three-in-one bundle of suspense and excitement as missionary kid Kennedy Stern faces more danger, mystery, and controversy than this anxiety-prone college student knows how to handle.

Confronted with questions of underage abortion, plagued by a stalker and paralyzing PTSD flashbacks, and eventually caught in the center of a police brutality scandal, Kennedy discovers that her first year at Harvard involves a lot more than passing a few lab classes and fulfilling her pre-med requirements.

With her parents serving North Korean refugees overseas, Kennedy befriends a loving and highly opinionated pastor, his hospitable and encouraging wife, an eccentric but respectful roommate whose worldview is drastically different from Kennedy's, and a foreign lab partner who's harboring a grave secret he'd do just about anything to keep from being exposed.

The Kennedy Stern Christian suspense series tackles controversial issues facing the church today and brings them to light in a way that encourages questions and fosters discussions without ever turning preachy or heavy-handed. Find out why listeners from all denominations, all walks of life, and all sides of the political spectrum are devouring this thought-provoking series from edgy Christian fiction author Alana Terry, who has won awards from Women of Faith, Grace Awards, The Book Club Network, Readers' Favorite, and many others.

Good, clean, engaging stories

Great reads! Easy storylines to follow. The author did a great job telling the story alongside the characters walk in her own faith.

Give Me Something Here

Characters are supposed to have an arc, some growth. I didn't feel that at all with Kennedy. She starts with weak faith and ends the story with the same weak faith. She doesn't develop at all and still questions everything even after God showed Himself to her. Carl, the POLITICIAN, had more an arc and showed growth by stepping away from politics. That kind of faith and conviction did nothing to sway Kennedy? Just a weak protagonist. Sorry. I really wanted to like this book series, I'm always hungry for good Christian books, but this felt like it was written for Christians who want to straddle the fence on issue.

Great Christian themes and ideas.

I felt all kinds of emotions reading this. I never knew what was going to happen. It had some wonderful gospel moments. I loved it!

Story is good but the narrator is robotic

I really had a hard time with the narrator's robotic performance. Her voice is nice if only she would give a natural flow to the narration. It seemed forced rather than like she enjoyed telling the story. I think I will read the remainder of the books rather than listen.

Not the best of stories or narration

Did not seem realistic that the main character - a college student at that was always having phone issues & was doing dumb things. Suppose to be a smart girl but always always doing dumb things 😞

Great stories with a Greater Message!

I have enjoyed getting to know KENNEDY and Ruben, and following their first year together.

Great value!

They covered a lot of issues we deal with in everyday life. Made me think about how I feel about different issues. I enjoyed so much. I will look forward to other books from this author.

Clean little stories, narration monotone.

Not really mysteries, but rather traumatic events in college student's life. Narrator is basically a reader.

first book was good...

The first book was good, and fast paced enough to keep my interest. However, the other books I kept hoping would get better, and the more I read, the more I became really frustrated with the main character. I liked the idea of the books dealing with today's issues, however, the author just didn't move the story along well enough. Also, one minute Kennedy was frozen in fear, and the best she would do something completely out of character for someone so fearful. I just became really annoyed overall with the story. Again, good idea, but just could have been done better.
